Traffic quality
Check traffic quality before onboarding with Bid4Ads.
This page answers two reader questions: what traffic is not ok? What should I check before help?
Invalid traffic in Google's words
Google says invalid traffic means clicks or impressions that falsely raise advertiser costs or publisher earnings. Examples are bots, robots and trick traffic.
Google also says you are in charge of traffic validity. That job does not move just because you talk to a third party.
Use Google's rules when you check Google Analytics. Do not trust a sales line.
What Bid4Ads says
Bid4Ads' new LinkedIn posts say bot, proxy, VPN and fake traffic are not ok. Treat this as Bid4Ads' public statement. It is not a separate check.
This site repeats that line because Bid4Ads uses it for onboarding. It does not mean that each traffic source will pass.
One Bid4Ads post has rules for Chinese publisher accounts. It lists iOS traffic at no more than 10%. It lists Android traffic at 90% or more. It lists IVT at no more than 5%. Those figures only apply to that post. They are not a rule for every site or app. Ask about your own traffic by email at vivekkushwah@bid4ads.com.
What to check before help
Google says to split traffic sources and check Google Analytics. It also says to avoid poor paid traffic. Never click your own ads.
Get your monthly pageviews in pageviews/month. Get your ad requests in requests/day. Get your invalid traffic rate in %. Get your traffic-source share in %. Do not make up these values.
If you cannot name each source, fix that first. This check supports Google Ad Manager and MCM reviews. Keep ads.txt or app-ads.txt at the root. Each seller row has three required fields. A fourth field is optional. New changes can take up to 48 hours to show.
